I have purchased a domain from WordPress almost a year ago and I was directed to get the jetpack app so I could control my domain from there or so I thought? I have been posting blog posts and photos to jetpack and was under the impression they would automatically be on my domain through WordPress and boy I guess I am so wrong. I’m not sure what to do at this point since I haven’t even used my WordPress really and the year subscription, I paid for is almost up and all the chatter about how simple and self-explanatory were so wrong. I just wanted something simple like the Jetpack so I can go in and add blog posts and photos as life moves forward and possibly add a link to my social media accounts and a donate link but for whatever reason none of this has gone according to what I was under the impression how simple this would be, and it has not been so easy. I had even spoken to a few reps and was not able to set up as easily as they suggested. I am not very literate with the inner workings and the language of computers so maybe i misunderstood what i was to do and then i was even going to hire someone to create my site for me so it can be set up as I needed it to be but I was told that could turn into a whole situation and be charged more and more and take the risk of having my info out there or something? I don’t own anything so idk what anyone would get from me besides my bills, but it made me nervous enough that i opted out of that too. I just wanted a website I could blog regularly as things happen to us and I did want to Vlog, and I certainly didn’t want to have it on my YouTube pages, but I am now reconsidering. Nothing I posted on Jetpack has gone over to my WordPress. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it if you could please comment what my best options are that would be great.
